Who we are
Security that is planned before it is staffed
222 Security Services provides SIA-licensed officers to businesses across London and the counties around it — shops and shopping centres, offices and managed buildings, construction sites and warehouses, and events and venues. Whether the requirement is one shift or continuous cover, the work starts the same way: somebody comes and looks at the site.
That visit produces a written assignment instruction — the patrol route and timings, the access rules, the key holders and the escalation order — and officers are briefed against it before their first shift. It is an unglamorous document, and it is the single thing that most separates security that works from security that is merely present.
What we do
Security services across London
Six services, each with its own page setting out what it covers, how it runs and what you receive. No combined page, and nothing hidden behind a general enquiry.
Also available
We supply the uniform too
Officers turned out in uniform specified by you — your branding, your colours, or the dress your site actually calls for. Optional, and quoted separately.
Standard guarding uniform
What officers wear by default: shirt or polo, softshell or fleece, tailored trousers and a weatherproof outer layer. Plain, dark, unmistakably corporate security.
Corporate front-of-house dress
For receptions, head offices and residential lobbies, where a guarding uniform reads as a threat rather than a welcome. Suit, shirt and tie, with the security function carried by the badge rather than the coat.
Your branding applied
Your logo embroidered or heat-sealed at an agreed position, in your colours, with name badges if you want them. We will tell you honestly whether the artwork you have will stitch cleanly at that size.
High-visibility and outdoor kit
Where the site calls for it — gatehouses, yards, construction and night work — hi-vis to the class your own risk assessment specifies, with waterproof and thermal layers for a post that is outdoors for twelve hours.
Visible identification
The SIA licence carried where it can be seen and read, plus photo identification and, where you want it, a name badge. An officer nobody can identify is an officer nobody can hold to account.
Replacement for the life of the contract
Garments replaced to the same specification when they wear, fade or no longer fit — not substituted for the nearest thing available. Colour drift across a team is what makes a uniform stop looking like one.
How we work
What you actually get
Not a headcount or a percentage. The things that decide whether security works on your site, and which you can hold us to from the first shift.
A written brief for your site
Every assignment starts with a site visit and a written assignment instruction — patrol route, access rules, key holders and the escalation order. Officers are briefed against it before their first shift.
Licensed and checked officers
Right-to-work, identity and SIA licence checks as standard, with references taken up and enhanced disclosure where the setting requires it. Licence details are available for any officer on your site.
Reporting you can actually use
Shift and incident reports on a schedule that suits you, written so they stand up if they are later handed to an insurer or the police.
One point of contact
A named contact and a written escalation order agreed at the start, so when something happens nobody is working out who to ring.
Consistent, not improvised
Challenge, search and refusal procedures are agreed with you in writing and applied the same way to everyone. That is better security, and it is the version that does not become a complaint.
London and the surrounding counties
We cover London and the counties around it. If your site sits outside that, we would rather tell you plainly than take the booking and cover it badly.
Who we work with
Sectors we cover
The risk is different in a shop, on a construction site and at a school, and so is the brief. These are the settings we work in most.
Corporate offices
Reception-facing officers who control access without making the building feel like a checkpoint.
Retail and shopping centres
Deterrence at the door and on the floor, with challenge procedures applied to a written policy.
Construction sites
Gate control and load checks during the day, irregular patrols when the site stands empty.
Warehousing and distribution
Vehicle and personnel movement records, stock checks, and cover across shift changeovers.
Logistics and transport
Yard control, driver check-in and load verification at the point vehicles enter and leave.
Events and venues
Door supervisors and stewards deployed against a written plan agreed before the doors open.
Hospitality and licensed premises
SIA-licensed door supervision that meets the conditions attached to your premises licence.
Education
Officers holding the enhanced checks the setting requires, working to the school's safeguarding policy.
Getting started
What happens after you call
Four steps, and the first two happen before you are asked to commit to anything.
You tell us the requirement
The site, the hours, and what you are actually worried about. If we are not the right fit — wrong sector, wrong distance, wrong scale — we will say so at this point rather than three weeks in.
We survey the site
At no charge. We walk it with you and note the access points, the blind spots, the hours that matter and the risks specific to the location. This is what makes a quotation accurate rather than a guess.
You get it in writing
A written quotation and a written assignment instruction — post, duties, patrol timings, escalation order. Nothing starts until you have agreed both.
Officers are briefed and deployed
Officers are matched to the site, checked for the right licence category, and briefed on site before their first shift. Reports then come to you on the schedule you chose.
Common questions
The things people ask first
Are your officers SIA licensed?
Yes. Front-line security operatives must hold a valid SIA licence by law, and we can provide licence details for any officer assigned to your site.
How does a new assignment start?
With a site visit. From it we produce a written assignment instruction — the patrol route and timings, access rules, key holders, escalation contacts in order, and what to do in the situations likely on that particular site. Nothing starts until you have agreed it.
How much does security cost?
It depends on the hours, the number of posts, the licence category required and how much notice there is. There is no useful single hourly rate, and any figure quoted before someone has looked at the site is a guess. Tell us the requirement and you will get a written quotation.
What areas do you cover?
London and the surrounding counties. If your site sits outside that, ask — we would rather tell you plainly that it is too far than take the booking and cover it badly.
