About us

Security that is planned, briefed and written down

SIA-licensed officers across London and the counties around it, working to a written brief for your site rather than to whatever seems sensible on the night.

What we actually do

The brief is the part that matters

222 Security Services provides SIA-licensed officers to businesses across London and the surrounding counties — shops and shopping centres, offices and managed buildings, construction sites, warehouses and yards, and events and venues. Some clients need one shift; others need continuous cover for a year. The way the work starts is the same either way.

Plenty of security firms will put a body on a door. That is the easy part, and on its own it is close to worthless. What decides whether security actually works on your site is whether the officer knows the site — which doors should be locked by seven, who is allowed in after hours, what the alarm panel does, and who to ring first. That knowledge does not arrive with the uniform. It has to be gathered, written down and handed over.

What we stand for

Four things we do not compromise on

Nothing starts without a written brief

Every assignment begins with a site visit and a written assignment instruction — patrol route and timings, access rules, key holders, escalation order. You agree it before an officer sets foot on site, and it is revised whenever the site changes.

Plain English, always

You should never need a glossary to understand what you are paying for, and you should never be sold a credential that does not exist. If we cannot explain a recommendation in a sentence you would repeat to a colleague, it is probably not a good recommendation.

Scope agreed before work starts

Hours, posts, duties and cover arrangements are written down first. That is what makes a quotation something you can hold us to rather than an opening position, and it is why we survey the site before quoting rather than after.

We will tell you when it is less than you think

If a site needs one officer rather than two, or nights rather than a full week, we will say so — and we will say if we are the wrong firm for it entirely. Short-term that costs us hours on an invoice. It is also the only reason anybody recommends a contractor.

How we work

Consistent, not improvised

Most security complaints come down to inconsistency: two officers on the same post applying two different standards, because neither was given one. So challenge, search and refusal procedures are agreed with you in writing and applied the same way to everybody. That is better security, because a consistent standard is harder to work around than a guessable one — and it is the version that does not turn into a complaint, a viral clip or a discrimination claim.

You deal with a named contact who knows your site, and there is a written escalation order agreed at the start, so that when something happens at two in the morning nobody is working out who to ring. Shift and incident reports come to you on a schedule you choose, written so they stand up if they are later handed to an insurer or the police.

  • A written assignment instruction, specific to your site
  • SIA licence, right-to-work and reference checks on every officer
  • Enhanced disclosure where the setting requires it
  • A named contact and a written escalation order
  • Shift and incident reporting on an agreed schedule
  • No charge for the site survey, and no charge to be told we are wrong for the job

A conversation costs nothing and there is no obligation at the end of it. Tell us what you are trying to do and we will tell you what we would do about it.
